SEO services that bring buyers, not just traffic

Plenty of agencies selling SEO services will show you a graph going up. The question that matters is whether the people arriving were about to spend money.

Analytics dashboard showing traffic performance — SEO services reporting

I’ve run SEO for the same US client since 2013 — thirteen years of surviving every algorithm update rather than chasing wins that reset the following year. That’s the kind of work I do, and I’ve written about what actually survives over that long.

Free SEO audit

Send me your site and I’ll come back with an honest read on where you stand: the technical problems holding you back, the keywords you’re missing, and what your competitors are doing that you aren’t.

It’s free and there’s no obligation. A full audit — the complete technical breakdown, keyword mapping and prioritised roadmap — is part of a paid engagement, but you’ll get enough from the free version to know whether the opportunity is real.

What it costs

SEO retainers are quoted against your site and your market, because those two things determine the work more than anything else. Competing for a service keyword in New York is a fundamentally different job from ranking in a market with three serious competitors, and pricing either one from a table would be dishonest.

What determines the retainer:

  • How competitive your market is, and who you’re up against
  • The size and current technical state of your site
  • How much content is needed, and how often
  • Whether authority building is required or the technical work alone will move you
  • Whether you need local, national or multi-country targeting

Minimum commitment: three months. This isn’t a sales tactic — it’s arithmetic. Google takes three to six months to respond meaningfully to SEO work, so a one-month engagement bills you for effort you’ll never see the return on. I’d rather not take the money.

Send me your site and you’ll get a free audit and a figure. International work is quoted and invoiced in USD.

An honest note on timelines

SEO is slow. On an established site, meaningful movement usually starts around month three or four. On a new domain it takes longer. Anyone promising first-page rankings in thirty days is either buying links or targeting keywords nobody searches — and in the first case you’ll pay for it twice, once for the links and again when an update removes them.

Results

Corporate limousine services in New York — one of the most contested local search markets in the US — under continuous SEO since 2013. B2B signage in the Greater Toronto Area. Vehicle restoration in Australia.

Specific ranking positions and traffic figures are available on request — several clients prefer them not to be published, which I respect.

Questions I get asked

How long until I see results? Three to six months for meaningful movement on an established site. Longer on a new domain.

Do you guarantee rankings? No. Nobody can, and anyone who does is telling you something else about how they work.

What if I already have a website? Most of my SEO clients do. The audit tells us whether the existing site can be optimised or whether its structure is the thing holding it back — and I’ll tell you honestly which it is.

Do you use AI-generated content? Not for the substance. Content is written by a person who has spoken to you about your business. AI is a useful assistant for supporting work — meta tags, structured data, first drafts of routine pages — and everything it touches gets reviewed and edited before it goes live. Google’s position is that low-value content at scale is the problem, not the tool used to make it, and I agree. Publishing unreviewed AI output on a client site is how sites get penalised, and I won’t do it.

Will you work with my existing developer? Yes, that’s common. I can hand over prioritised technical fixes for your team to implement, or implement them myself.
